The third i4is summer workshops at the Royal Institution
We were first invited to deliver a one day summer workshop for school students by the Royal Institution {RIGB, www.rigb.org) in 2018. We called it "Skateboards to Starships" to show that the basic physics, maths and engineering principles applied to both and at many scales between.
We were invited again in 2019 and then, of course, the virus arrived. The RIGB is now back to normal and we were invited to deliver again in 2022. Since 2019 this has been a two day event with participation by groups age 13-15 and age 16-18 (the pre-university years). i4is is proud to have delivered ideas and, we hope, inspiration to 6 generations of school students at the same institution as Michael Faraday and many illustrious successors. We aim to do the same and more in the coming years.
