At the Initiative for Interstellar Studies, we believe that the challenge of the stars involves more than just the sciences and engineering. Indeed, the problem of establishing a human colony in deep space involves all aspects of human society, including political, economic, social-cultural. An important part of this is the communication of the vision, and so we believe in working in collaboration with artists who can help to paint a vision for what our potential future in deep space looks like.
We have several 'Artists in Residence' that work with us and we are open to approaches from any other artists that would like to work with one of our committees, projects or teams.
