The Initiative for Interstellar Studies and the British Interplanetary Society are pleased to announce the 2nd Foundation of Interstellar Studies Workshop, which will take place from 27th to 30th of June, at the current headquarters of the i4is, The Bone Mill, on the edge of the wonderful English Cotswolds, in south Gloucestershire, UK.
Interstellar Travel is and will always be one of the greatest human challenges. From science fiction to the adventure of travelling beyond the stars and exploring the vast space. Us, Scientists, Researchers, Engineers, and Adventurers are capable of making these dreams come reality. Through addressing the various challenges by scientific and innovative discussions, we believe, Interstellar Travel can become an accessible technology. Based on that, our workshop will be featuring 3 main themes across the 3 days. Living in Deep Space, Advanced Propulsion Technology and Missions, and, Building Architectural Mega-structures.
Researchers are invited to submit their abstract by 1st May, 2019. The abstracts will be reviewed by our committee to be featured in the workshop and an invitation will be made for selected authors post-conference, to the Journal of the British Interplanetary Society and/or publication in the official conference proceedings.
For Registration, and to submit an abstract please send an email/fill in the application through the website: fisw.space
